Systems Engineering Project
One of my favorite classes in my major is AERO 220, or Aerospace Systems Engineering and Integration. This class was a project-based lab, where I learned the fundamentals of systems engineering and applied the concepts weekly on a drone ordered by a fictitious company "ABC Systems." The company gave us requirements to fulfill, and my team of four underwent weekly design reviews. Our requirements were targeted towards sub-system interface, verification/validation, and implementation of complex aerospace systems.
I was particularly responsible for aerospace structures and manufacturing. I loved working with the other sub-systems (power, propulsion, communications, and controls) and helping create a verification and validation procedure to show that the team met our goals. I liked managing the project by both looking at the big picture and planning the tiny details, which is why AERO 220 was one of my favorite classes.
Below is my mission requirements, product breakdown structure and concept of operations, N^2 chart, and block function diagram. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or comments about this project.
